As a fast growing company, doc-department understands the challenges that companies face as they expand. For this reason, we decided to sponsor the ScotlandIS Digital Technology Award for ‘Outstanding Performance in Business Growth for a Small Company’ again.

It’s great to see the shortlist of companies nominated for the award this year:

Hutchison Networks, who won the Newcomer Award last year and is sponsoring the same award this year, is a strong contender boasting a phenomenal growth rate. But they have some stiff competition.

Kotikan (which is also nominated for Small Technology Company of the Year) is now 7 years old and rated as one of the UK’s leading mobile app development companies with some big sexy Scottish clients that include Skyscanner and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Administrate, another Edinburgh Codebase company is also a great contender. Administrate lost out on this award last year to Fanduel, but doubling their revenue for the 3rd year in a row is pretty impressive – this could be their year.

Capito, which provides Professional Services, Product Solutions and Managed Services, has also had a spectacular year. Reading about the success of these Scottish companies is one of the greatest pleasures in being involved in these awards and Capito has not disappointed. Over the past 12 months, it has secured a contract to upgrade the IT backup system for one of Scotland’s largest Local Authorities, retained its status on HP’s Service OneProgramme (for the 7th year in a row) and also achieved its Investors in People Bronze Award. Impressive stuff.

The final shortlisted nominee for our award is SwarmOnline. Based over in the west, SwarmOnline provides mobile and web applications along with websites. They have built up an enviable reputation for their consultancy and training services and truly deserve to be shortlisted for both this award and the Best Newcomer award.

Good luck to you all and look forward to meeting you on the night.
